Stage Description
The set design for this production features a 14-meter-wide sloped stage extension that seamlessly transitions into an elevated ramp wall through an upward-curving surface. At the center of this curved surface and elevated ramp stands a tilted door.
Scattered across the main stage slope are various trapdoors, each serving a unique function: a large bathtub, a tombstone, and storage spaces where actors retrieve props during the performance.
Stage left includes a mirror-like water pool, a sunken traditional Taiwanese tiled rooftop, and a large tree growing from the rooftop.
To achieve a magical realism effect, the production incorporates numerous objects descending from above, including falling shoes and leaves. A pair of shoes drops instantly at a key moment, while chairs used by the actors gradually suspend in midair toward the show's climax.
