Stage Description
The main stage is a visually floating stage, with the hanging ceiling tiles, door, and a window wall dividing the virtual and the real world. Three windows ate equipped with smart PDLC film for projection and masking needs. Each window can be controlled individually. Behind the window wall is the real world, specifically an interrogation room.
The set designer wanted the door on stage right to have a floating effect without any visible walls or support structures. To achieve this, I welded the door frame to a steel platform, which was then integrated with the surrounding wooden platforms.
For this production, I also built a semicircular liquor cabinet, complete with bottle storage and functional drawers. Additionally, there was a scene requiring a vinyl record to spin on a player, so I fabricated a custom model to make it work smoothly on stage.
